The Alex Rodriguez Show in 2005
On April 26th, 2005, my family and I went to watch the Yankees play the Angels. Rushing home from practice, I had to get dressed quickly and get out of the apartment as soon as possible. Luckily for us, the 6 train was right around the corner, and we transferred to the 4 and made it to the game in time.

That night was a night I will never forget, and I have to thank Alex Rodriguez for it. I had been to a couple games prior to this one in my life, but the performance he put on was magical. It was early in the season but I had disliked the Angels because they beat us a couple years before hand in the playoffs. I needed the Yankees to win because of this dislike I had for the Angels. Alex Rodriguez not only assured the Yankees would win the game, but put on a show. Not one, not two, but three home runs in a single game. Sitting on the 1st base side, I couldn’t believe the power he had and how the ball would just fly off his bat. Each swing he took looked as if he wanted to tear the cover off the ball. Finishing the game with 10 RBI’s was something I thought could never be done. In little league no one had ever topped 5-6 RBI’s (from what I can remember), but he got 10. 10! These 3 home runs and 10 RBI’s came against I team that I strongly disliked (but not nearly as much as I hate the Red Sox).
This is one of the many memorable moments I have from watching the Yankees play. It is something I will never forget because Alex Rodriguez did something that I did not think was physically possible.
