Day two of the Winter Meetings have begun and the hot stove is scalding with Yankees rumors. Expect it to get even more exciting as the day continues.
Headley Could Sign Today
According to Peter Gammons, free agent third baseman Chase Headley might sign with a team today. His suitors include the Yankees and the Giants. The only holdup could be San Francisco’s negotiations with Jon Lester.
Optimism that Chase Heeadley gets done today, Yanks, Giants...but Lester/Giants negotiations a yellow light factor

Yankees Could Look To Other Relievers Several reports indicate that the Yankees could look to cheaper late-inning relief options to add depth to an already strong bullpen. Options include Jason Grilli, Sergio Romo, Pat Neshek, and Luke Gregerson among others
Expectation is Robertson signing will launch run on relievers such as Grilli, Romo, Neshek, Gregerson, etc

Grilli’s agent talked with NJ.com’s Brendan Kuty about how his client fits well with the Yankees, but is unsure of the team’s interest.
Jason Grilli's agent told me reliever would be a good fit w/ #Yankees as closer, mentor to Dellin Betances, good clubhouse guy.

Giants Lukewarm On Headley, Giving Yankees A Chance
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports is reporting that the San Francisco Giants are fully invested in the Jon Lester derby but are hesitant to make a big offer to Chase Headley. This increases the Yankees chances of keeping the third baseman. In the article, Heyman says that the Giants are against going past three years for the 2012 National League MVP candidate.
Yankees Spoke To Robertson Last Night, Didn’t Make An Offer
The Yes Network’s Jack Curry just tweeted that the Yankees met with David Robertson last night. They informed their former closer that they wouldn’t be making an offer.
Yankees met w/ Robertson's agent last night and said they weren't going to make offer. A few hours later, he signed with White Sox.

Robertson proceeded to sign a four year, $46 million contract with the Chicago White Sox.
