DOUBLE A

Trenton Thunder (60-70) lost to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (63-66) 8-2.

Dan Camarena didn’t have it Wednesday night. He got touched up for four runs over his six innings off work. He was only able to strike out two Fisher Cats on the night. His lone positive on the evening was that he allowed no walks. He was victimized by the long ball, allowing two home runs on the night. Camarena’s Double-A struggles continue in 2014 since his promotion. He is 1-6 with a 6.53 ERA since joining the Thunder.

The Thunder offense made some noise, but simply couldn’t bring many runners home. The Thunder left seven men on base as opposed to the Fisher Cats one lone stranded runner. They amassed ten hits with four players having multi-hit nights. Right fielder Mason Williams, short stop Ali Castillo and catcher Francisco Arcia had two hit nights while third baseman Dan Fiorito had a 3-for-4 performance himself. Williams registered a double and a triple on the evening. Jaron Long takes the mound Thursday night in attempts to stop the bleeding and looks to continue his strong season. Game time is 7:05 PM.
