Players to Watch

With the offense continuing to struggle, there aren’t many names to choose from in terms of what players really stand out in the Yankees lineup these days. Oberholtzer has only made two starts against the Yankees in his career, but they were able to get to him, as he has an 0-2 record and 4.09 ERA against them. One player that has been productive at the plate as of late has been Mark Teixeira. Despite his on and off again injuries he has had to battle this season, he still continues to pick up where he left off whenever he plays.

Dexter Fowler is a player the Yankees will have to watch, as he is 5-for-17 against Capano in his career. Chris Carter is another player that has been on a tear, as he has put up monster numbers since the All-Star break. He is hitting .341 with seven home runs and 16 RBIs in just the last 11 games. Carter also leads the majors with 29 RBIs since coming back from the break.

One other player that the Yankees will keep their eyes on is the slugger Jose Altuve. He is 1-for-3 in his career against Capano, but that is not the bigger picture. This season, Altuve is hitting .339, and is even coming off of a grand slam in the game against the Red Sox on Sunday.
