The Yankees look to revive their offense Saturday after falling to the Red Sox 4-3 in the series opener Friday night. The Yankees offense started to look good after putting up 12 runs on the Rangers in a 12-11 win on July 29, but the last two games have been a better summary of the Yankees season. However, with some recent additions the Yankees still look to make a push for the postseason and get back to doing what Yankees do best…winning.

The Red Sox, unlike the Yankees, have pretty much given up on this season and started to focus on next season by giving up John Lackey, Jon Lester, and Felix Doubront. They currently sit in last place in the AL East with a 49-60 record. They are trying to avoid becoming the third team in history to come in last after winning the World Series the previous year.

The Yankees are leading the season series with the Red Sox 6-5 heading into Saturday’s game. The Red Sox have won the last 3 meetings. Their is a 90% chance of rain in Boston on Saturday, so it will likely be a cool and wet game. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 PM.
