MiLB Roundup For July 26th: Wins Hard To Come By For Baby Bombers
It was a really frustrating day for the Yankees minor league affiliates as they went just 1-4 today here is a recap of all the days action.
TRIPLE-A
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (51-56) lose to the Pawtucket Red Sox (61-48) 8-5
Once again it was pitching that hurt the RailRiders as Bruce Billings only lasted three innings and gave up five earned runs. On the bright side Adonis Garcia was able to get two hits on the day and raised his batting average to .310. John Ryan Murphy was also able to drive in two runs on two hits as well. The RailRiders will take on Pawtucket again today at 1:05 pm the pitching match up is Matt Barnes (5-7 4.89) against Bryan Mitchell (1-1 4.15).
DOUBLE-A
Trenton Thunder (50-58) lose to the Binghamton mets (63-43) 10-7
It was a shootout between the Thunder And the Binghamton Mets as both offenses combined for 17 runs. Slugger Peter O’Brien hit his 21st home run of the year, which was a two run blast. Designated hitter Tyler Austin put in a four hit day that included 2 runs batted in. The pitching staff got roughed up giving up all ten runs in the first 6 innings and that proved to be to much for the Thunder to bounce back from. Trenton will take on Binghamton in the final game of the series at 1:05 pm Manny Banuelos (0-3 5.20) Binghamtons pitcher is TBA.

High-A
Tampa Yankees (52-53) Lose to the Ft Myers Miracle (64-39) 8-6
Tampa and ft Myers kept it close all game until the late innings where the Miracle where able to get the key big hit that Tampa was not. Eric Jagielo had a two hit game and is starting to look more comfortable at the plate. Dante Bichette Jr was able to drive in two runs with a double and continues to be impressive at the plate. Tampa will take on Ft Myers again today at 1:00 pm. Starting pitchers will be Connor Kendrick (3-7 5.86) vs Ethan Mildren (1-0 6.46).
Low-A
Charleston RiverDogs (52-53) beat the Asheville Tourist (68-37) 8-7
It was another close game for a minor league affiliate today as the Riverdogs where able to get the walk off hit in the 13th inning. John Murphy was the hero when he came in as a pinch hitter in the 13th, and singled up the middle to score Gosuke Kotah. Charleston will play Asheville again today at 2:05 Ian Clarkin (3-3 3.36) will go against Antonio Senzatela (11-1 3.50).

Staten Island Yankees (21-21) Lose to the Tri-City Valleycats (30-12) 16-3
Staten Island was blown out by the Valley cats again today as the pitching has been in a horrible funk of late. Starter Jordan Cote gave up 8 runs in just two innings pitched. Nathan Mikolas was able to have a good day despite the score, he put together a 3 for 4 day and drove in two Staten Island’s three runs. Staten Island takes on Connecticut today at 4:05 the starters are Justin Kamplain (1-0 0.53) vs Josh Heddinger (0-0 2.25)
