Chase Headley Seems To Be Adjusting Just Fine

When the Yankees grabbed Chase Headley from the Padres a few days ago to fill in the third base void, they knew they were going to get some type of production from the veteran. What they didn’t know was how quickly it was going to arrive.

Headley had a memorable debut a few days ago, as he drove in the winning run in the 14th inning, giving the Yankees a 2-1 victory over the Rangers. From then on, he has been nothing but brilliant.

In having played just four games in the Bronx, Headley is hitting an impressive .429. He had his first multi-hit game with the team last night, as he went 3-for-4. He seems to be finding holes in the field and placing hits there, and the Yankees are absolutely loving it.

Headley seems to be loving his new baseball uniform as well. “There’s something different about putting the pinstripes on,” Headley told Zach Braziller of the New York Post. “It’s a privilege, and I take it that way.”

With the new addition of Headley, both he and the Yankees hope that this will be a piece of the puzzle that will help them make a run for a playoff spot.
