The Baby Bombers had an even night record for the night, as they went 3-3. One game that is not included in that ended in a tie. Here are the recaps.

TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (43-50) lose to Charlotte Knights (38-56) 5-1

After winning the first game of a doubleheader, the RailRiders dropped the second and split the day with the Knights. RailRiders starting pitcher Matt Tracy had a decent start on the mound, as he went 4.1 innings and gave up two runs on eight hits, while walking two and striking out six. Recent former Yankee Yangervis Solarte went 1-for-3 and had an RBI. The RailRiders will begin a series with the Rochester Red Wings at 7:05 PM. Bruce Billings will get the start for them, as he comes into the game with a 4-5 record and an elevated 5.31 ERA.

Trenton Thunder (42-50) lose to Reading Fightin Phils (36-52) 10-1

The Thunder didn’t have such a hot game, as they lost a blowout. Dillon McNamara took the lost, as he only lasted three innings, and gave up four runs on two hits. Although it wasn’t their best game, Tyler Austin had a good night at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a double. Zach Nuding will take the start for the Thunder in their next game, which is set to start at 7:05 PM. Nuding’s record currently stands at 3-2 with a 2.93 ERA.

High-A

Tampa Yankees (43-46) lose to Clearwater Threshers (26-61) 6-5

Tampa lost a nailbiter. Starting pitcher Miguel Sulbaran gave them an unbelievable performance. He went seven innings, and only gave up three hits with no earned runs. Dante Bichette had a good night offensively, as he went 2-for-5 and had two RBIs. The Yankees are looking to end their series on a high note, as they will play Clearwater at 7:00 PM. Rafael De Paula will get the start for Tampa. He has a 4-5 record with a 4.71 ERA.

Charleston RiverDogs (41-50) defeat the Greenville Drive (37-53) 13-6

The offense exploded, as the Dogs were able to top the Drive. Giovanny Gallegos gave a quality performance, as he went four innings, and only gave up two hits with no runs. Dustin Fowler had an extremely effective night at the dish, as he went 2-for-5 and had 4 RBIs. The RiverDogs will begin a series with the Savannah Sand Gnats at 7:05 PM. Gabriel Encinas will get handed the ball, as he comes into the game with a blank record.

Staten Island Yankees (13-13) defeat the Lowell Spinners (12-14) 5-3

Quality pitching is what gave the Yankees a victory. Luis Niebla got the win, as he went a solid four innings, and gave up no runs, but allowed four hits. Chris Breen went 2-for-3 and had two RBIs. The Yankees will face the Spinners again at 7:05 PM, but the Yankees pitcher is to be announced.
