Yankees’ Minor League Roundup: May 13th

Tuesday was not a pretty night for the Yankees’ farm system. The Baby Bombers had a rough day going 1-3. Here are the highs and lows of all of Tuesday’s action in today’s Minor League Roundup.

TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (19-18) lost to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (20-18) 8-4.

Kyle Roller had a home run and drove in two, but the RailRiders couldn’t get past Zach Nuding‘s poor outing. He went 3 2/3 innings, giving up six runs on seven hits. Joel De La Cruz takes the mound for SWB today and is matched up against Lehigh Valley’s Greg Smith.

Trenton Thunder (23-15) lost to the Erie SeaWolves (15-20) 5-1.

The Thunder totaled just four hits and Peter O’Brien drove in their only run. Jeremy Bleich went seven innings and allowed five runs (three earned) while striking out six. Graham Stoneburner is set to start today for the Thunder, while the SeaWolves will send out Jeff Ferrell

Tampa Yankees (17-20) defeated the St. Louis Mets (22-16) 7-2.

Matt Snyder drove in three runs for the T-Yanks going 2 for 5 on the night. Eric Wooten went four-and-a-third innings after taking over for Nick Goody in the second. Wooten allowed one run on three hits. Dan Camarena pitches for Tampa today.

Charleston RiverDogs (20-17) lost to the Savannah SandGnats (25-11) 8-4.

Miguel Andular drove in a pair for the RiverDogs. Luis Severino went six shutout innings and struck out five. The bullpen couldn’t hold the lead for him however, giving up eight runs (five earned) in the seventh.
