When you get beat 16-1 and everyone including Dean Anna pitches for you, it’s safe to say your going to need reinforcements. The Yankees will be doing that tomorrow as they are set to bring up two new pitchers.

According to Josh Norris of Baseball America, the Yankees will be bring up Brian Mitchell from AA Trenton. Also, according to the Wall Street Journal’s Dan Barbarisi, Preston Claiborne will also be brought up to the big leagues.

Who goes? Well, Ivan Nova left with tonight’s game with an elbow issue, so if he lands on the DL, it could open up a spot. Nova is set to get an MRI tonight on his ailing elbow according to MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch.

Matt Daley could go right back to AAA, or even Dellin Betances, since he has options and has struggled of late.

Claiborne in six games has struck out seven in six innings with a 1.50 ERA in AAA. Mitchell is 1-2 in three starts in AA with a 5.14 ERA. He has yet to appear in a game above AA in his minor league career.  In 14 innings, he’s given up 14 hits and eight runs while striking out 20.
