Somehow, the Yankees were able to get to 3-3 on the road trip. After the tumultuous trip in Tampa, the Yankees went to Baltimore and rallied back in the last two games with some late inning clutch hitting by Raul Ibanez and Nick Swisher. Now, the Yankees are coming home by opening up against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The Angels are coming into this series reeling. They have lost each of the first two series, including blowing a 6-0 lead to the Minnesota Twins yesterday and suffering an injury to one of their key relievers, Scott Downs. Los Angeles was the king of the offseason with their signings of Albert Pujols and C.J Wilson, but so far, the chemistry has not been there for Mike Scoscia’s team. But, that could all change this weekend considering the good history the Angels have against the Bronx Bombers.
For the first time in the history of the Yanks Go Yard podcasts, I am joined by a co-host from another site. This week, I am joined by Tyler Brett from HaloHangout.com to discuss the series and both the Angels and Yankees in general. We discuss not only the pitching matchups, but Mark Trumbo’s inefficiency at third base and the Pineda-Montero deal. Its an hour long, but we hope you enjoy the show!
Enjoy the series and the predictions and we will be back Monday morning to break down the Twins-Yankees series. Click the link below and it will lead you to the show I recorded with Tyler on Wednesday night on my show Kickin’ It With Keeler!
