Damon signs with Detroit

Johnny Damon has apparently notched himself a one-year deal worth $8 million to play for the Tigers. Good for him, but what would you rather have: a one-year deal worth $8 million to play in Detroit or a two-year deal worth $14 million to play for the New York Yankees?

I admit he did get more for the 2010 season, but nothing is guaranteed for the following season. What if he gets hurt? What about all the left fielders and DHs that will be free agents after this season? That market could hurt a 37-year-old’s value next season. I think Scott Boras did his client a great disservice with this deal.

Oh what a mastermind, such a great move to get Damon $1 million more. Eat a dick Scott Boras. You suck at life.

Regardless of how you feel about this move, circle Monday August 16th on your calender. That is the day the Tigers come to the Bronx for the first time (so says the preliminary schedule on Yankees.com). What has two thumbs and will be booing the shit out of Johnny David Damon on that day? THIS GUY!!!!!
