The Yankees are looking to cap off this successful homestand with a victory today against the Blue Jays.  Today’s starting pitcher Shane Greene gives them as good a chance to do that as anybody.   Greene has impressed so far in his young career as a starter, he is 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA.   His last time out Greene pitched well but ran out of gas against the Texas Rangers green threw 5 2/3 innings but had well over 100 pitches.  The Yankees are hoping he can continue to give them quality starts.

The Blue Jays will send lefty J.A. Happ to the mound.  Happ is coming off of his best start of the year against Boston where he went six complete innings and gave up no runs. Carlos Beltran who hit a late two run homer against the Jays yesterday, has a .350 Career average against Happ and looks to continue to provide offense to the middle of the Yankees lineup.  Derek Jeter has also had huge success against Happ in his career. He is batting .545 with two homers against the south paw.
