It was an average night for the Baby Bombers, as they posted a 4-3 record in their games. Here are the recaps.

TRIPLE-A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (51-55) lose to Pawtucket Red Sox (60-48) 10-2

The RailRiders could not figure out their pitching woes, as they got pounded by the Red Sox. Matt Tracy took the loss, as he only lasted 3.2 innings, giving up six runs on six hits. Zoilo Almonte went 1-for-4, and had one of the two RBI. Scranton hopes to bounce back in the second games of the series that will start at 7:05 PM. It is to be announced who will get the start for the RailRiders.

Trenton Thunder (50-57) lose to Binghamton Mets (62-43) 6-1

The Thunder were not able to get the offense going, as they lost to the Mets. Dan Camarena took the loss for Trenton, as he went six innings, and gave up three runs on six hits. A positive from the game was Gary Sanchez going 2-for-4 at the plate. The Thunder will continue its series with Binghamton with first pitch at 7:05 PM. Jaron Long will get the start, as he has posted a 3-0 record and 2.50 ERA.

High-A

Tampa Yankees (52-52) defeat the Fort Myers Miracle (63-39) 4-3

Tampa was able to hang on to a close game, and come out with a victory. Yankees’ pitcher Brett Gerritse had a great performance on the mound, as he went six innings, and allowed zero runs, while giving up just two hits. Danny Oh shined for the offense, as he went 3-for-5. Tampa will continue its series with Fort Myers, with the second game of the three-game set that is set to start at 6:00 PM. Miguel Sulbaran will get the start for the Yankees, as he comes into the game with a 2-1 record and 2.26 ERA.

Charleston RiverDogs (51-53) defeat the Lexington Legends (40-64) 6-1

The RiverDogs were able to receive some good pitching and offense, and were able to come out on top. Chaz Hebert got the win, as he went 5.1 innings, and gave up no runs on just three hits. Miguel Andujar put on a show at the plate, as he went 2-for-4 and had 3 RBI. Charleston will begin a series with the Asheville Tourists at 6:05 PM. Gabriel Encinas will get the start for the Dogs, coming in with a losing record of 0-1 and an elevated 10.29 ERA.

Staten Island Yankees (21-20) lose to Tri-City ValleyCats (29-12) 9-7

It was an offensive explosion between both teams, but the Yankees could not surrender a few more runs to get the win. Sean Carley took the loss, as he had an extremely tough outing. He lasted just 0.1 innings, but gave up seven runs on seven hits. Ty McFarland continues to kill it at the plate, as he went 2-for-5 and had 4 RBI. The Yankees will play their final game of the series against Tri-City at 7:00 PM. Jordan Cote will get the start for Staten Island, coming in with a 1-2 record and 6.43 ERA.
