It is hard times for the Yankees’ farm system. Someone is seemingly being called up to the Big Show every other day, leaving Yankees minor leaguers bouncing around the system. This Saturday night, the struggles continued as the Baby Bombers went 2-5. Here is how it went down in today’s Yankees MiLB Roundup.

TRIPLE A

Scranton/Wilkes-Barres RailRiders (46-51) lost to the Rochester Red Wings (54-44) 5-2.

A much needed strong start by Nik Turley was wasted by the RailRiders bullpen. Turley went 5.2 innings allowing just one run. He did walk four and allowed three hits but was able to get in and out of trouble. Francisco Rondon was not allowing three runs in his third of an inning in the bottom of the eighth. Surprise, surprise: second baseman Rob Refsnyder had yet another multi hit night. Heading into the All-Star break, no pitcher has been determined for tomorrow’s first half finale.

BOX SCORE

Catcher Gary Sanchez had a 2-for-4 night while SS Ali Castillo provided the lone RBI. Jaron Long takes the mound tomorrow to shut down the Thunder’s first half. First pitch is 1:05 PM.
