The Yankees are looking to build a winning streak, as they face off against the Indians at 7:05 PM for the second game of a four-game set.

Pitching sensation Masahiro Tanaka will get the start for the Yankees. Tanaka is looking for his 13th win of the year, as he continues to make a dominant impression in his rookie season. His record sits at 12-3, with an impressive 2.27 ERA. He didn’t have his best stuff in his last start against the Twins on Thursday, but still was able to come out victorious. In that game, he went seven innings, giving up four runs on nine hits. After recently being selected to the All-Star Game, Tanaka hopes to take the mound tonight and continue to put up those unbelievable numbers that has been shown all season long.

Trevor Bauer will be the opposing pitcher for the Indians, as he comes into the game with a 2-4 record and 4.42 ERA. In his last start against the Tigers on Saturday, Bauer went 6 1/3 innings and gave up four earned runs. He got a no decision because of the Indians losing that game in extra innings. Bauer comes into the game with a 1.43 WHIP.

GAME NOTES:

If Tanaka wins tonight, it will be his 13th victory of the season and will lead the Major Leagues.

Former Yankee Chris Dickerson seems like he will be a player to keep an eye on, as he just recently got called back up to the Indians after spending some time with Triple-A Indianapolis. Dickerson was hitting .309 with seven homers, 15 doubles and 44 runs batted in with 65 games being played. Last night, he went 1-for-2 and scored a run for the Tribe.

After last night’s game, the Yankees have now won 12 of their last 14 games against the Indians, and have a 54-30 all time record at Progressive Field.
