This weekend, the New York Yankees were able to take three of the four games in the series against the Boston Red Sox. This is a good measuring stick for a team trying to see how they stack up against the defending world champions.
On this episode of the Yanks Go Yard Radio Show, we decided to do things a little bit differently than our normal programming. This is the airing of last night’s live post game show, where Yanks Go Yard staff writer Mason Tronsor and I recapped Sunday night’s 3-2 win as well as looking back at the other games of the series.
Here are the topics that Mason and I discussed:
- Michael Pineda‘s Pine Tar Incident
- Encouraged or Discouraged by C.C Sabathia’s start on Friday
- The power streaks of Carlos Beltran and Brian McCann
- How did Jacoby Ellsbury fare in his first series against his former team?
- Injuries to Derek Jeter, Brian Roberts, and Francisco Cervelli
- Stephen Drew or Kendrys Morales for the Bronx Bombers?
- Ivan Nova finally back into form?
- Yankees’ bullpen getting pivotal outs at the right time
