Buc’d: The Pittsburgh Pirates came into Tampa and beat the Yankees 2-1 in the finale. Hiroki Kuroda went a strong six innings giving up just one hit and no runs. Boone Logan took a line drive in the hip but is okay. The Yankees could only muster one run against Pirate pitching.

Roster Moves: Lyle Overbay will most likely be the starting first baseman on Monday. The team announced that they released Juan Rivera, even after paying him his $100,000 bonus for being with the team on Tuesday. Rivera’s release apparently had to do with his lack of defensive ability. Ben Francisco will be the fourth outfielder and Brennan Boesch will be on the roster as well. David Aardsma may not be after having a sub-par spring.

Free Tix: If you own season tickets you’re in luck. The team is offering complimentary Legends seat tickets for pre-selected games to multi-year ticket holders. Basically, if you own two seats, you’ll get four legends tickets.

Off to DC: The Yankees will play their first game of the season in a big league park, playing the Washington Nationals at 2:05. Andy Pettitte will be on the hill and the game is on YES.
