As we hit the Yankees first off day of the season, let’s take a look at some news and notes around Yankees camp.

Streaking: Hey, it’s only spring, but I think it’s good that the team has won two games in a row, after not having won a game since their first spring game. Adam Warren pitched three innings, giving up only a solo home run to Mike Napoli in the Yankees 5-2 win over the Red Sox. Thomas Neal added his first home run of the spring. Eduardo Nunez, Jayson Nix and J.R. Murphy each added RBI of their own

The Plane The Plane: Brian Cashman jumped out of a plane this morning, twice. No it’s not because Curtis Granderson is hurt and Alex Rodriguez has five more years left on his contract. It’s to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warriors Project. He apparently injured himself on his second jump. No word as to whether he will be added to the 15 day DL too.

Change of Plans: You can forget about the Granderson and Brett Gardner position switch. Joe Girardi said yesterday that since Granderson is hurt and wouldn’t be able to play during spring that he wont make the change. I agree with Girardi. Let Granderson come back and play his usual position in center to get him comfortable in May.

The Yankees are off today, but return to action tomorrow night against the Atlanta Braves at 7:05

12:50 Update: Cashman appears to have broken his ankle according to reports
