Winner Winner: The Yankees earned their second win of the spring, beating the Detroit Tigers 10-3. Ivan Nova looked good in his first spring outing, giving up only one hit in two innings. Corban Joseph and Tyler Austin each had two RBI and Chris Stewart belted a two run homer.

Injuries: Boone Logan will be out a few days with a sore left elbow. His MRI came up clean, but they are going to give him a chance to rest. Slade Heathcott sprained his right thumb in a collision earlier in the week with Ronnier Mustelier. Phil Hughes threw off flat ground for 25 pitches for the first time since injuring his back. Ichiro Suzuki got into a car accident leaving the stadium yesterday. The airbags deployed but he’s okay. He’s going to work out today and probably play tuesday.

Mesa Staying: Melky Mesa pulled out of the WBC over the weekend. He has a real chance to win the left field job, so it’s probably in his best interest to stay.

Today: The Yankees head to Fort Myers to take on the Red Sox for the first time this year. Adam Warren is on the hill. No lineup yet, however, Brett Gardner, Jayson Nix, Eduardo Nunez, Juan Rivera and Dan Johnson made the trip over. The game is at 1:35 on YES and at 4pm on MLB Network.
