Welcome to March everyone. We are a month away from opening day. Let’s take a look at the news and notes from Yankee camp.

Double Trouble: The Yankees lost both games of their split squad day, losing 1-0 to the Toronto Blue Jays and 7-6 to the Houston Astros. It wasn’t all bad though.
Melky Mesa had two hits and drove in three runs.
Brett Marshall gave up one hit in his three innings pitched.
Zoilo Almonte had another two hits.
David Phelps pitched three shutout innings against the Blue Jays
Juan Rivera had two hits.
In a weird note, Chris Stewart got ejected from the game yesterday. You don’t see that often in Spring Training.
Cano’s Contract: Yesterday, Brian Cashman revealed that the Yankees made a significant offer to Robinson Cano. Cano said he’s just going to let his agent handle it and not be a distraction. Apparently they are far apart and I’m sure that by the end of the month, these talks will be tabled until the off-season.
No to Guerrero: Vladimir Guerrero is looking to make a comeback and is willing to take a minor-league deal according to reports. The Yankees are not interested.
Lineup: Here is today’s lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies. The game will be at 1:05 on YES and then aired at 4pm on MLB Network.
