Yanks Go Yard Series Preview Show: Red Sox-Yankees (7/27-7/29)

The West Coast trip was not so kind for the Yankees both for their roster and for their record. They were able to at least win the series against the Seattle Mariners and acquire Ichiro Suzuki in the process. However, they finished the trip at 2-5 and lost Alex Rodriguez for almost two months due to a displaced fracture in his hand. But, the Yankees still have a comfortable lead in the division and return home for a nine-game homestand.

The homestand starts with another installation of the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry. Coming into the week, Boston was unsure of whether or not they were going to be a buyer or seller at the trade deadline. Now, they have lost six of their last ten games, even with their bats back in the lineup. This season has been a mess for Bobby Valentine’s team so far, but a sweep of the Yankees could potentially change their stand on the season.  Will they sweep or will they fade away as fast as Josh Beckett did from the reporters after his start Wednesday?

For this installation of the Yanks Go Yard show, we bring in a special guest from BosoxInjection. com. His name is Mike Lavery and we talk about the possible trades Boston could make both as a buyer and a seller, the future of Jon Lester and Beckett, and the potential moves the Yankees could make by Tuesday. Also, we breakdown the rest of the moves that could be made at the MLB deadline.

Enjoy the show and remember to send in you questions for future series!
