Viewer’s Choice Podcast: Breaking down the Yankees

Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit was the highlight of the 1st half. What should we expect in the 2nd half? (Sabo/NY Daily News)

With the All-Star break, it is time for the fans to give their assessment on the Bronx Bombers as we head into the second half of the season. The Yankees will enter Thursday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays just one game behind the Boston Red Sox in the American League East. However, even with New York’s success in the last two months, the fanbase still has numerous questions around this team.

For this special breakdown, I opened it up to the near 600 followers I have on Twitter as well as the great people on this site and Yankees Fans Unite. I was able to get numerous questions, so I had to make this podcast into another two part show. The first part has my take on the first half of the season and a brief look ahead as to what to expect down the stretch. The second half has the answers to your questions on a variety of topics whether it be Phil Hughes, Alex Rodriguez, the Captain, or even some possible trades the Yankees could make.

I like to thank everyone who sent questions and feel free to continue to send in your questions for future previews. The previews start again for the Blue Jays series and as always I like to hear what you guys have to say. Feel free to put your questions/comments here or to post them to my Twitter: @arth65456. The links are available on the bottom. I hope you enjoy them.
