Going on the 7 Train: Subway Series Preview Part II

facebooktwitterreddit

After the Yankees’ dominant sweep of the first place Milwaukee Brewers, they take the train down to Queens and Citi Field to take on the surprisingly relevant New York Mets. Even though the Mets are only a game over .500, they still have given their fans a new sense of optimism and hope that they could make a run at the playoffs rather than have GM Sandy Alderson trade away all their players. Jose Reyes has been the MVP in the National League for his great play and Terry Collins has risen from a 1 year guy in Flushing to a person who could be manager of the year in the National League.

For the Yankees, they need to take care of business like they did the previous six series because this will be an exciting series with Mets’ fans finally packing the stadium for the first time in the short history of Citi Field. Today, we give you a look at the Mets and a breakdown of the series with this latest podcast.
