Girardi’s coming back, Mo two

It appears the binder is coming back. It is not yet official but the Yankees and manager Joe Girardi have agreed to a three-year, $9 million deal. I’m sure they don’t want to pull an A-Rod, so I’m guessing they are going to wait until the first World Series off day to announce the decision.

As I’ve said before, I’m not a fan of Joe G and don’t want him back but there aren’t many better options out there. So we’ll have to make due. He is the winningest manager over the past three seasons, so I suppose I really have no reason to complain. Then again it doesn’t really take much to win with the roster the Yanks put together. All things considered, we Yankee fans could have it much worse.

In other Yankee news, it appears Mo wants a two-year deal. I’m all for bringing Mo back for as long as He’s able to dominate, but He’s going to be 41 next month. When does enough become enough? I don’t want to see Him stick around longer than His skills allow. Nothing would be worse than seeing The Greatest Ever hang around past His prime and become a mockery of what He once was. I say take it one year at a time and let His pitching dictate when it’s time to hang up the spikes.

LET’S GO YANKS!!!!!
