As for the draft, here are the Yanks picks so far:

32nd overall: Cito Culver. He’s a pitcher, but the Yanks drafted him as a SS. Switch hitter, throws right. I’ve never heard of him, but here’s LoHud’s scouting report on him. Kind of a weird choice as a first rounder, but I think the Yanks took a SS in the first round once before…

82nd overall: Angelo Gumbs. SS. Bats right, throws right.

112th overall: Robert Segedin. 3B. Bats right, throws right.

145th overall: Mason Williams. CF. Bats left, throws right.

175th overall: Thomas Kahnle. P. Bats right, throws right.

205th overall: Gabe Encinas. P. Bats right, throws right.

235th overall: Taylor Anderson. CF. Bats left, throws right.

265th overall: Kyle Roller. 1B. Bats left, throws right.

295th overall: Taylor Morton. P. Bats right, throws right.

325th overall: Benjamin Gamel. CF. Bats left, throws left.

355th overall: Zachary Varce. P. Bats right, throws right.

385th overall: Daniel Burawa. P. Bats right, throws right.

415th overall: Christopher Austin. C. Bats right, throws right.

445th overall: Travis Dean. P. Bats right, throws right.

475th overall: Chase Whitley. P. Bats right, throws right.

505th overall: Evan Rutckyj. P. Bats right, throws left.

535th overall: Preston Claiborne. P. Bats right, throws right.

565th overall: Kevin Jacob. P. Bats right, throws right.

595th overall: Kevin Jordan. CF. Bats left, throws right.

That’s all their picks at the time I write this. Before you start bitching about who they should have taken in the first round of wherever, keep in mind that most of these guys will probably never get to play in pinstripes and most will be dealt as part of a trade. That’s why I don’t pay attention to the MLB Draft. It sure as hell ain’t the NFL or NBA Draft.
