1. Sanchez to the Angels

The Los Angeles Angels are surely thrilled knowing that Jason Castro will hit free agency after this season, as the 33-year-old has really disappointed after signing a one-year deal back in January. Without a catching prospect on MLB.com’s list of their top 30 the Angels will undoubtedly be buyers entering an all-important 2021 season (after all, they have to contend at … some point, right?).

However, what Los Angeles lacks in catching in their farm system, they make up fo with pitching. To get the Yankees’ attention in potential negotiations, the AL West club will need to include 21-year-old southpaw Hector Yan, their No. 12 overall prospect. We all know New York could use more lefties in their right-handed-dominated farm system. If the Angels are willing to unload shortstop Livan Soto (No. 19), then New York wouldn’t hesitate in agreeing to this trade.

Los Angeles would add another slugger to its already imposing lineup, and the Yanks would add two promising youngsters before preparing a big-money splash on Realmuto, who’s currently hitting .288/.338/.682 with 8 home runs, 20 RBI and a 1.020 OPS. Sounds like a fair swap if you ask us.

Sanchez deserves some time out of the spotlight. Anaheim could really help him there.
