2. Gerrit Cole Doesn’t Lose a Start

Expectations for Gerrit Cole in his first season with the Yankees will be through the roof, and understandably so given the otherworldly campaign he put together with the Houston Astros in 2019. Across 212.1 innings (33 starts), he finished 20-5 with a 2.50 ERA, 326 strikeouts and a 0.895 WHIP.

Most analysts and fans would be hard-pressed to refute the notion that the 29-year-old was snubbed of a Cy Young by his former teammate Justin Verlander.

Gerrit Cole is ready to go above and beyond for the New York Yankees.

Playing in the Bronx was Cole’s childhood dream, so he knows exactly what he’s getting himself into as far as pressure is concerned. The three-time All-Star will only have 60 games — so probably 10 starts —  to make an impression on Yankees fans, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he notched at least a no decision in each of them.

We’re not saying Cole will finish 10-0, but a zero-loss campaign is definitely in the cards for the $324 million hurler.
