Everyone’s Hero (2006)

Perhaps this was a movie that some Yankees fans could remember from their childhood. Everyone’s Hero is a fun children’s movie about Yankee Irving,  a 10-year-old boy from the Bronx. The movie’s plot revolves around Babe Ruth’s stolen bat and Yankee’s quest to return it to the Great Bambino.

Don’t expect beautiful cinema here but perhaps some fun nostalgia or an opportunity to teach a little one more about baseball and the Yankees of the 1930s. For those that are tired of watching Toy Story or Paw Patrol for the 1,000th time, maybe a little bit of baseball would be a nice change of pace. Find it on HBO.

The Babe (1992)

It may not have been a critical darling but The Babe is an enjoyable ride through the life of Ruth (John Goodman).

Yes, the movie takes some liberties and is very “Hollywood”,  but it can provide some Yankees fans an entertaining look at the life and legend of the greatest player of all-time. The movie is available on STARZ.

For those that may be more interesting in watching a deeper dive into Ruth’s life, head over to HBO and view the “Babe Ruth” documentary.
