Low-A
The Charleston RiverDogs (65-65) defeated the Greenville Drive (53-76) 12-0.
What a night for the RiverDogs on the mound and at the plate! Justin Kamplain got plenty of run support early as the RiverDogs jumped out to a six run lead in the top of the first. Kamplain, a 2014 draft pick, went 4.1 shutout innings. He only allowed one hit, but struggled with control, walking five and getting the early hook. Angel Rincon came on to pick up his sixth win of the season.
Second baseman Tyler Wade had a big night at the plate. Wade went 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored. First baseman Bubba Jones went 2-for-5 on the night driving in two runs. Every RiverDog reached base Thursday night as they racked up 13 hits and nine walks. Second baseman Gosuke Katoh was the only RiverDog held hitless, however, he drew three walks on the night. Gabriel Encinas pitches Friday night. Game time is 7:00 PM.
