Many believed, <a title="Why haven’t the Yankees signed Scott Hairston yet?" href="http://yanksgoyard.com/2013/01/05/why-havent-the-yankees-signed-scott-hairston-yet/" target="_blank">and our own Benjamin Orr opined too</a>, that <strong><a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/hairssc01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-yanksgoyard.com" target="_blank">Scott Hairston</a></strong> would be a Yankee for the upcoming season in order to compete for the right-handed DH/fourth outfielder spot.
