Yankees win without hitting home run, extend win-streak to eight

The New York Yankees can now add “without a homer” as a form of victory to their resume for the season. In their 64th game the Yankees finally notched a win in a game they did not hit a home run, as they outlasted the Washington Nationals in 14 innings, 5-3. (more…)

It turned out that the Yankees brought their lack of hitting with runners in scoring position to the Atlanta Braves dugout this past series. Down in Atlanta, the New York Yankees were able to continue their winning ways with another three game sweep. With the help of timely hitting from Alex Rodriguez, great starting pitching, and huge outs from the bullpen, the Bombers were able to re-gain first place in the American League East heading into a series this weekend that will feel like a World Series matchup.

What The Yankees Hope To Find Under Their Tree

There’s a little over a week before Christmas. I’d like to wish Yanks Go Yard readers happy holidays as we hit the peak of the holiday season. Brian Cashman and the Yankees have been quiet so far this off-season making minor deals in attempting to improve the team. I still think the Yankees have a few tricks up their sleeve though. What would be great for the the club would be a good starting pitcher. Not a superstar, but a good starting pitcher. There are still some good starters out on the open market this winter.
