About/Staff

Robbie Clark:  Editor (9/22/2011-Present)

Robbie is a native Illinoisan and life-long Yankees fan. Don’t ask her how she became a Yankees fan while being raised deep in the heart of Cardinals territory. She doesn’t know; it was simply fated.

Robbie studied English at Bradley University and misses her time there terribly. She is a recent law graduate and current bar exam studier who began blogging about baseball to relieve the stress and monotony of law classes. She lives with her guinea pigs, Jeter and Jorge.

Andrew Corselli:  Senior Staff Writer (10/8/2009-Present)

Andrew is North Jersey born and raised, and a life-long Yankee fan. He is a Francisco Cervelli apologist and also roots for the NY Giants. He doesn’t like hockey and stopped following the Knicks when they traded John Starks. He was an English major at Saint Joseph’s University (the undefeated season was his sophomore year) and currently freelances for local websites.

He can be reached via e-mail at 23andyc@gmail.com or on twitter at @23yanksgoyard.

Ricky Keeler:  Staff Writer (5/9/2011-Present)

Ricky is a freshman at St. John’s University working toward his goal of becoming a sports broadcaster. He is a die-hard Patriots and Yankees fan, and you can find his take on the Patriots at Foxboro Blog. You can find Ricky on Twitter @Rickinator555.

Matt Aug:  Staff Writer (9/21/2011-Present)

Matt is New York born and bred, but his writing career actually began with an internship at the Sacramento Bee. From there, he went on to gain experience at daily and weekly newspapers and a monthly prep school magazine, Student Sports. Matt has covered the Yankees and MLB extensively for the last several years for a national/international website.

Matt grew up reading books on Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth, and he now listens to audio books about George Steinbrenner and Joe Torre. His favorite TV channel? YES Network, of course!

Joe Ferry: Staff Writer (12/6/2011-Present)

Joe is New York born and raised. He’s been a Yankees fan ever since he stepped foot in the Old Stadium. He grew up a huge Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez fan, but Robinson Cano is now his favorite player. He also is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Knicks. He thinks sabermetrics will change the way we think about the game. In a good way.

Shawna Lent:  Staff Writer (1/6/12-Present)

Shawna was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, but prefers the Yankees over the Cubs and White Sox. She played softball until she was 20, and her favorite player growing up was Alex Rodriguez (who, 15 years later, is still her favorite). She studied Journalism and Marketing at Columbia College Chicago, and is currently a research assistant for a trade magazine in Chicago. The only sport she hates to watch is basketball.

You can email her at shawna.lent@gmail.com or find her on Twitter: @shawnalent
