The New York Yankees struggles continue as the team dropped their sixth straight game tonight at Camden Yards.

Backed by a pair of homers from Mark Trumbo and seven strong innings from O’s ace Chris Tillman, the New York Yankees fell 4-1 to the Orioles on Tuesday night.

The Yankees, now 8-16 managed to score just one run on five hits as their offense continues to slump. The once promising flame-thrower Luis Severino is now 0-4 with a 6.31 ERA, and the possibility of the Yankees demoting him back to the minors is looking more and more like a real possibility.

Unfortunately the Yankees didn’t just lose tonights ball game. They may have also lost their clean up hitter for the foreseeable future.

Yankees veteran DH Alex Rodriguez was removed from the ballgame and replaced by pinch-hitter Dustin Ackley in the top of the eight inning after he seemingly injured his right hamstring while trying to beat out a ground ball earlier in the ball game.

The Yankees have yet to comment on the severity of the injury, but A-Rod is expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday morning.
