Starting Rotation Still A Concern For Yankees
Today marks only the third day of the Winter Meetings, yet there has been a lot of commotion going on between the representatives of the 30 teams. Some have been in the spotlight, while others haven’t had their chance yet to shine. The Yankees unfortunately fall into the category of one of the teams in the shadows.

Up until recently, the Yankees were ridiculed on how quiet they have been in the free agency market. While picking up Andrew Miller was a great move for the club, they lost pitcher Shane Greene to the Tigers, who everyone thought was going to be an extremely important piece of the puzzle to the pitching rotation next season.
Therefore, the Yankees’ pitching staff still has a lot of holes to be filled, and the team needs to be extremely aggressive as the Winter Meetings continue. While they have some pitchers who have been working hard past their injuries in order to come back strong next season, anything could happen. Those starting pitchers can get injured once again, leaving major holes in the rotation.
The buzz over the last few days has involved expressing interest in Jon Lester. Unfortunately, the Yankees weren’t quick enough, and he has now signed with the Chicago Cubs. Brian Cashman now needs to go out and acquire one or two more starting pitchers if the Yankees want to be back in the mix of the October chaos.
