The Yankees’ prospects were scorching hot in the desert in Thursday night’s Arizona Fall League. The Scottsdale Scorpions snapped their losing streak in the AFL behind the hot bats of several Baby Bombers. The Scorpions rose triumphant 7-5.

The Scorpions were paced by top Yankees’ prospect right fielder, Aaron Judge. He set the tempo with a two-run blast in the top half of the first inning and Scottsdale never looked back. First baseman Greg Bird had a perfect day at the plate. Bird went 2-for-2, raising his AFL average to .347, and drew two walks on the day. The hot streak has his AFL average up to .322. He also tagged on his third stolen base of the year.
