At The Plate

Brett Gardner was one of the most consistent Yankees in the 2014 season. His new found power gave the Yankees offense a boost. So much so, that Yankees manager Joe Girardi even inserted him in the third spot in the batting lineup late in the season. Those who have followed his career are not surprised by the boost in Brett’s power. He has always had a solid physique, Combine that with his compact swing, and the potential has always been there.

So the question becomes, where will he fit in the lineup in 2015? Many think that he will take over Derek Jeter‘s number two spot. This would give the Yankees back to back speedsters when you combine him with Jacoby Ellsbury. Still, he could return to the lead off spot that he has secured for a big part of his career. Some think he could bat ninth, to give the Yankees some power at the end of the lineup.

But wherever he bats, Yankees fans know that he is one of the most consistent batters in the lineup. And offensive consistency is something the Yankees have been searching for the last two seasons.
