Robertson Blows Lead As Yankees Lose Series In Baltimore

The Yankees signed Kelly Johnson in the off-season, thinking he could be an option at second and third an provide some left-handed punch. It didn’t work out and he was traded to the Red Sox for Stephen Drew. Johnson ended up with the Orioles before the August 31 deadline and what do you know, comes up with the game-winning hit against his former club as the Orioles take three of four from the Yankees this weekend with a 3-2 win.
Martin Prado continues to be a great addition for the Yankees, and will be a great piece to have in 2015. Prado hit his 12th homer of the season in the second of Chris Tillman to give the Yankees a 1-0 lead.
Hiroki Kuroda was brilliant and again didn’t get additional run support.
Alejandro De Aza continues to be a great addition for the Orioles and singled with one out in the sixth. Adam Jones brought him home with a double.
The score stayed that way until the ninth when Brian McCann hit his 20th homer of the year off Darren O’day. The lead would be short-lived

Nelson Cruz led off with a double and ex-Yankee Steve Pearce brought him in with a double of his own to tie it. Two batters later, Johnson ended the game.
