Yankees 2015 Schedule Released

As the 2014 season winds down, the 2015 schedule for next season was released on Monday. In looking at the schedule for next season, there are some interesting dates. Let’s delve in and take a look.

The season opens Monday April 6th at home against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Yankees first homestand is six games; three against Toronto and the Red Sox, then the ’15 Bombers head out on a 10-game road trip, which will be the longest of the season. The Yankees will play 15 of their first 18 games in May on the road.

August and September will feature two 10-game homestands, tied for the longest of next season.

Interleague will be against the National League East next year. The Yankees will play six games against the Mets. April 24-26 in the Bronx and September 18-20, which could end up being the most important regular season Subway Series ever if both teams are in contention.

The Yankees will go to Washington to take on the Nationals on May 19 and 20, with the Nationals coming to the Bronx June 9-10. The Yankees will be in Miami to take on the Marlins June 15 and 16 with the Marlins coming to New York the next two days. The Phillies arrive in NY June 22-24. The Yankees head to Atlanta Aug 28-30

The All-Star Game from Cincinnati will be July 14.

The season concludes October 4th in Baltimore.
