The Yankees are going to have an interesting call with Chase Headley in the off-season. With Alex Rodriguez coming back and Chase being a free agent what can they do? Headley has done everything the Yankees asked him to and tonight delivered his second walk-off hit of the year with a homer as the Yankees come back to beat the Red Sox 5-4.

David Ortiz continued to do what he’s done all throughout his career with the Red Sox; be a Yankee killer. Ortiz hit a solo shot in the first and a two run shot in the third to make it 3-0.

The Yankees got that three run inning in the fifth off Brandon Workman. With one out, Ichiro Suzuki  singled and Jacoby Ellsbury walked. Derek Jeter brought everyone home with a double.  Two batters later, Carlos Beltran brought home Jeter to tie the game with a single.

Brock Holt then came up in the fifth and hit his fourth homer of the season to give the Sox the lead.

It was crickets until the bottom of the ninth when Mark Teixeira tied it with his 21st homer of the year. Two batters later, Headley ended it with his 11th homer into the second row of bleachers in right.

The Yankees begin a crucial three game set with the Kansas City Royals tomorrow night. Michael Pineda faces James Shields at 7:05.
