The Baby Bombers fought hard Thursday night and strung together quite the impressive evening. The New York Yankees minor league affiliates combined to go 4-3 overall on the night. Jaron Long continues to be a shining star in the Trenton Thunder’s rotation. He has become the Andy Pettitte of Double-A, being able to end losing streaks and come up with big wins. Elsewhere, two big wins from the Tampa Yanks and Charleston RiverDogs evened both of their records at 65-65 on the 2014 season. With all of the prospects that have passed through both levels due to injuries in the Bronx this year, it is very encouraging to see both teams sitting at .500 this late in the year.

Lower on the farm, the Staten Island Yankees took a big loss, falling back to .500 on the season themselves. Every game matters down the home stretch as the SI Yankees are right in the middle of the Wild Card race in the New York/ Penn League. The brightest stars continue to shine in the Gulf Coast League. Despite the GCL Yankees 2 dropping a game Thursday night, both teams continue to pace their respective divisions. So sit back and get caught up with the Baby Bombers in today’s Yankees MiLB Roundup.
