Sunday was a successful day for the New York Yankees Minor League affiliates. The teams combined to win four of the five games played. Some were prettier than others. It took a five-run ninth for the RailRiders to come back and win, and Tampa was barely able to hang on after scoring all eight of their runs in the first four innings. Charleston was able to hold off a late rally. while the Staten Island Yankees, paced themselves with a four run first inning.

Offense was the story for the youngsters on Sunday, as the five teams combined for twenty-eight runs. The hitting backed up solid pitching for almost all the starters. The bullpens broke down later in the games.
