Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (59-65) lose to Louisville Bats (61-64) 3-2
It was a duel between these two teams throughout the game, as they even went to 14 innings of play. The RailRiders gave it everything they have, but they just fell short, after what must have felt like a marathon. They had the lead of a score of 2-1 until the top of the fourth, when the Bats came right back and tied it. That score remained all the way until the top of the 14th inning when Louisville was able to push a run across the board.
Scranton used six pitchers, and Taylor Dugas took the loss. In just one inning pitched, he gave up one hit, but that resulted in the tie being broken. Regardless, it is showing great signs from the RailRiders that the pitching staff is continuing to put up solid numbers whether as a starter or reliever. Although Dugas gave up the winning run, a positive for him was that he had a remarkable night at the plate. he was able to go 4-for-6.
The RailRiders will wrap up this series at 7:05 PM. Zach Nuding will be handed the ball, as he comes in with a 3-4 record and 5.40 ERA.
