Game Overview

After being rained out last night, the Yankees will take on the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankees currently stand at 61-57, seven games behind the first-place Orioles in the American League East. They will use this series to try and gain ground on the playoff spot, and cool off the red hot Orioles

We haven’t seen Michael Pineda since the New York Yankees’ April 23rd matchup against the Boston Red Sox, when he was ejected from the game after  being caught with pine tar on his neck. He was suspended for 10 games and landed on the disabled list during his suspension with a muscle strain in his shoulder.

The Yankees are not ready to give up their chances to win the AL East and start fighting for the second wild card spot, and the return of Pineda might be the spark they are looking for.
