Sunday was a mixed day for the Yankees Minor League affiliates. They split the four games played. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and Staten Island picked up wins, while Charleston and Trenton came up on the short end. Tampa was scheduled to play, but got rained out. They will make the game up as part of a double-header Monday. Pitching was at a premium for the Baby Bombers on Sunday, as three of the four starting pitchers had quality starts including two that didn’t allow a run. One of the Yankees’ up-and-coming arms threw seven strong innings for Trenton. The bats were on display as well, as the four teams combined belted five homers. Here’s how the games played out.
