Brian McCann Lands On DL; Austin Romine Called Up

After taking a foul ball straight to the head behind home plate during the third inning, Brian McCann remained in the game, and everything seemed fine. McCann was then forced to leave the game later on, and the Yankees would soon would find out that he sustained a mild concussion. He will be placed on the 7-day disabled list.

Filling in for him will be Austin Romine, someone who has been called up many times from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Romine is having a pretty solid season with the RailRiders, hitting .252 with five home runs and 30 RBI.

McCann is to be re-examined next Saturday.
