It’s hard to believe that September call-ups are right around the corner. This is the time of year when the rosters expand and we as fans get to see some of the hyped up young talent from the minors finally on display in the Big Show. The New York Yankees, currently a mere one game out of the final Wild Card spot, will have some very important decisions on their hands as each call-up could play a significant role in getting the team to play October baseball.

If you have followed Yanks Go Yard’s minor league coverage all season, you are very familiar with some of the names we will most likely see come September 1st. John Ryan Murphy is sure to return. Jose Pirela, a multifaceted player in the field and someone we have been pushing for all season, should be in line for some playing time. Zoilo Almonte and Zelous Wheeler will most likely make their return to pinstripes. But we’re not here to discuss the obvious.
