For our weekly Staten Island Yankees’ prospect profiles, we at Yanks Go Yard have decided to take a different route. Instead of giving you an update on one of the prospects, we will be giving you five prospects that stood out to us over the course of this week. The Staten Island Yankees (22-22) entered their six-game road trip on a winning note (6-2 over an eight-game span).

Now, the team has lost four of their last five games to the Tri-City ValleyCats and the Connecticut Tigers. In the last five games, the team has been outscored by a combined score of 45-21 and has a record of 1-4. It is a week that had relief pitcher pitcher Matt Wotherspoon win New York-Penn League pitcher of the week on Monday and had two of the top five that you will read about shortly lose their impressive 20+ game hitting streaks.
