Game 98 Preview: Yankees vs Rangers

The Yankees begin a 4-game series against the Rangers on tonight in the Bronx. They are coming off a 3-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds, while the Rangers have lost 9 of their last 10 games.

Shane Greene (2-0, 1.32 ERA) makes his third start since being called up two weeks ago. Greene has looked good in his previous two starts only allowing 8 hits and 2 runs while striking out 11 in 13 IP.

Miles Mikolas (0-2, 10.05 ERA) gets the nod for the Rangers. He has not looked good in his previous appearances. He’s given up 21 hits and 13 runs in his last 8 IP.

–The Rangers (39-59) have lost 9 of their last 10 and 16 of their last 18 games.

Adrian Beltre has struggled since coming back from the All-Star break going 2-for-12 in the first series back against Toronto. Beltre leads the Rangers in every offensive category (.330 BA, 14 HR, 52 RBI).

Jacoby Ellsbury has hit the ball well since the All-Star break. He was 4-for-4 last night, with an RBI and 2 stolen bases
