Chase Whitley got the start for the Yankees, and looked good early, allowing no runs through the first three innings. But that all changed in the fourth, when after Nelson Cruz worked a walk, Chris Davis launched his 15th homer of the year into the right field seats, t0 put the Orioles ahead 2-1. Jonathon Schoop would eventually add an RBI single in the inning, to make it 3-1 O’s.

The Yankees will not play again until Friday, July 18, against the Reds at the Stadium.
